DEPENDENCY MEDIATION CERTIFICATION TRAINING

David A. Wolfson, an approved Primary Trainer for Dependency Mediation Certification Training, will present a 40 hour certification course in Dependency Mediation. The course will be held at David’s residence at 1805 Bitter Root Trail, Tallahassee, Florida.
The course will include lectures on Dependency Law, mediator’s standards of conduct, ethics, diversity training, psychological aspects of the dependency system, domestic violence, communication techniques, community resources, general mediation techniques, and court process. Each attendee will be a disputant and a mediator in role play mediations which will be critiqued by certified, professional dependency mediators. Other information will be disseminated though demonstrations and video tapes.
The course has been approved by the Florida Bar for 45 general hours of C.L.E.R., 2 hours of ethics, and 19 hours for attorneys’ certification, under course number 3061 7.
Leonia Maresch, licensed mental health expert and dependency, family and county mediator, will be the guest speaker and will present the segments on domestic violence, and psychological aspects of the dependency system.
The cost for the training is $850.00, but a special discount rate for early registration of $825.00 will apply until 30 days prior to the training. If you are a State of Florida employee please inquire about the State discount.
Included with the training package at no additional charge is the Dependency Module of Nutshell Mediation Office, a software program which, among other things, prepares all documentation necessary and desirable for mediations. Daily snacks and lunch will also be provided.
